Guangdong Ocean University (GDOU) is a key institution established by both the Guangdong Province Government and the State Oceanic Administration, with taking Ocean Science and Fisheries Sciences as its specialties. GDOU is authorized Doctorate, Master and Bachelor degrees. Fisheries Science and Ocean Science, have been selected as the two key disciplines programs in Guangdong excellent Universities’ construction.

Shenzhen Institute of Guangdong Ocean University (SZIGOU) was jointly founded by Guangdong Ocean University and the Management Committee of Shenzhen Dapeng New District in 2016, aiming at taking research and develop the novel techniques involving in marine fields for prompting marine economic development. It is an institutional organization operated in an enterprise mode, with the mechanism of president responsibility under the leadership of the Council. SZIGOU has developed its unique philosophy coring at institutional and mechanism innovation, as well as effective growth strategies, thus made remarkable progresses and achievements in many aspects.
