The center has 1 professors, 3 associate professor, 1 assistant professor, and 12 engineering researchers, one person selected as National “Thousand Talents Plan” Youth Project. The number of people with advanced scientific research capacity is over 60% of the total number of project personnel.

Research direction includes the following areas: (1) Marine ecological environment monitoring and evaluation, based on the underwater various hydrological sensor (index) and optical equipment (biological) , to realize the information acquisition and together, by way of on-line analysis bay ecological comprehensive information, set up the gulf ecosystem evaluation system; (2) Marine stereo observation and information processing field, based on the latest development of ocean detection equipment and modules, to realize the comprehensive stereoscopic monitoring and observation of the ocean surface, underwater and the bottom of the bay, effectively completed Marine information data acquisition, transmission, analysis and a series of innovative technology; (3) data law mining and presentation field, studies a kind of important technical means to excavate ocean data from ocean data collection.
